  • UNIFORM DRIVE

A local Pottstown Girl Scout Troop is collecting new or used clothing that can be used as student uniforms in the Pottstown School District. Items such as white, light blue, or navy polo shirts, turtlenecks, certain sweaters and sweatshirts and navy blue or khaki pants, shorts, skirts, or shorts are sought, in all sizes.
Drop off sites are located at GRUMPY'S SANDWICH SHOP, RICH RANIERI'S MAB PAINTS - both on High St, MIKE'S BRICK OVEN PIZZA on Charlotte St., the YMCA and the Pottstown School District Administration Building, 230 beech street. We are getting one at the North End Swim Club very soon. Please help spread the word. We need to build momentum and show how we can all pitch in to help within our community.

  • ArtFusion19464 is hard at work on their next educational show. Scheduled to run from September 20, to November 9, (Veterans Day), the show will focus on the personal recollections of veterans of the Vietnam War. ArtFusion is looking for letters and photos from the era to include in the gallery displays. these mementos will also be used in educational field trips for local schools. They are also looking for veterans willing to share their stories and there is a need for old military uniforms from that era to be used in an exciting fiber arts project that will become part of "When We Were Solders". For more informatin about how you can participate in this event contact Julie Tonnessen at 610-326-2506. ArtFusion 19464 is located at 254 E. High St. in downtown Pottstown.
