We are currently working on a much more detailed and more complete business directory, better maps, more events listings, and more news to keep you updated. We will also be enhancing communications so you can reach us for questions, comments, and suggestions. In our new "Doing Business" section we will provide detailed information on our programs and opportunities for local businesses and how to qualify.
COMING TO POTTSTOWN APRIL 24, 2014!
Published: Sunday, 06 April 2014 16:03
JOIN US THURSDAY as we go throughout the downtown and surrounding area to share good deeds. Our request is only that you pass another good deed on to someone. It can be big or small, no good deed is ever too small! Be a part of the 8th Annual Pay It Forward Day right here in your own community!
This celebration began 8 years ago, inspired by the movie by the same name, it is now Nationally recognized and is proclaimed here in Pottstown for APRIL 24, 2014. People have done everything from sweeping their neighbors fronts to paying for their groceries to paying for much needed surgery! It is our hope that everyone be a part of this day and give five minutes to pass along a good deed to someone they may or may not know. Spread the word, share your story, we want to hear all about your experience!
Pay it Forward cards, which explain the reason behind the good deeds are available through our Main Street Manager, Sheila Dugan by calling
610-323-5400 or 484-948-6061.
At 3pm Thursday, many will be joining us as we "Pay it forward" and begin the Pick It Up Pottstown Campaign in the downtown area. Meet us at the Visitor's Center at 3pm - 17 N Hanover St and help us show the world that Pottstown is a place we are proud to live, work and play in!
What will you do to PAY IT FORWARD? Cleaning the downtown business district! / www.payitforwardday.com

PDIDA is the Pottstown Downtown Improvement District Authority.
The Authority manages and coordinates activities as well as promotes the business district in Downtown Pottstown. Although PDIDA supports all activities and economic growth throughout the Borough of Pottstown, it's primary focus is the downtown district which encompasses High Street from Evans Street to York Street and businesses on Charlotte and Hanover Streets, just north and south of High Street.
